Agenda Items
Careers Seminar

  • 6pm on 26/11/2010 at SSLR1, UWA
  • $910 approved by CG, including $350 for printing
  • Presenters have very nearly been finalised
  • CLAIR reps from Japan will attend but not introduce the event
  • NJ will do welcome speech, JL will be emcee
  • JL to liaise with KLB to finalise flyer
  • JL or DM to arrange printing
  • AP to pick up JETAA WA’s banner from 43 Below to bring to event

Bunkasai

  • Helpers to arrive by 10.30 am on 7/11/2010 to set up
  • EW, DM and LE to bring bbq, LE will borrow his aunty’s ute
  • JL to bring plastic table
  • DM to bring marquee
  • EW, JP and NJ to bring eskies
  • EW to print signs (Drinks: $1, Five Gyoza: $3)
  • DM to get ice
  • Anyone else to bring tables and chairs etc
  • LE to source receipts from last year for spending guide

Bonenkai

  • Saturday, 4 December at Nine Fine Foods
  • Budget to be decided after Bunkasai

JET Oceania Regional Conference

  • Conference schedule:
  • 19th-21st November 2010
  • 18th KaiWA for early arrivals (all available committee members to attend)
  • 19th Official welcome reception at CG’s residence
  • 20th Intro/ presentations, dinner at Little Creatures, Fremantle
  • 21st Seminar and wrap up BBQ in Kings Park (city side)
  • NJ and PB were successful in securing Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest as a guest speaker for the welcome reception
  • Start reception at 6.15 pm to accommodate Mr Forrest’s schedule
  • LE to email NJ and EW regarding submission of room names to the Esplanade Hotel

Treasurer’s Report

  • $69.81 in bank
  • Still waiting for CLAIR’s $4,000+ payment (80% of Regional Conference and yearly activities budget) due mid October

CLAIR’s JET Presentation Series

  • Murdoch: DM and RS (12 pm, 4/11/2010)
  • Curtin: DM and NR (12 pm, 27/10/2010)
  • ECU: NJ will ask committee members via email (5 pm, 27/10/2010)

KaiWA

  • Next one is 21/10/2010
  • LE to open, AP to close (and take banner for Careers Seminar)
  • NJ will send email for roster preferences for the rest of the year

AJS Xmas Party

  • Friday, 10 December
