Art Setouchi 2010 PR Television Program
The Art Setouchi 2010 is now being held in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, as the world’s first major modern art festival to take place on multiple islands, and it is attracting massive attention from throughout the world.
The Seto Inland Sea lies just about in the central part of Japan, and as an important location for maritime transportation since long ago, it has seen the coming and going of ships from many places that have made the islands bustling places of activity. The goal of the Art Setouchi is to make the Seto Inland Sea into a Sea of Hope, by combining modern art with rich island culture and broadcasting the results in order to help revitalize the islands of the Setouchi.
In order to convey the appeal of Kagawa and the Setouchi Area through the Art Setouchi to a wide audience abroad, an English-language television series called Islands of Affluence will be broadcast starting September 3rd.
<Television Program Overview>
This English-language television series will consist of three installments, where the show’s host will introduce the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, Takamatsu, and the islands of the art festival, as well as the artworks that blend seamlessly with the rich culture on the islands and many of the people who have been involved with the festival.
